As she winds up her acceptance speech, the actress also talks about her injury and said:

“I had a bit of a fall, an accident a week ago. I slipped and fell down from the staircase, right outside my house but I thank God and my parents that I didn’t have a big accident, no bones broken. To logo ne kaha ke aaj tum ye roop leke kyu jar ahi ho. But to that I would like to say, this is the one opportunity I get to thank my audience and this industry, because of whom I am here, on this stage.”

When Aishwarya Rai was spotted with a plastered arm at the Cannes Film Festival

This is not the first time that Aishwarya Rai has fallen from the staircase and injured herself. During the 77th Cannes Film Festival, the actress was papped on the red carpet, but it was her plastered arm that caught much attention.

According to a report in Mid-Day, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reportedly had a bad fall at her Mumbai residence and fractured her wrist.

The report also claimed that the actress’ wrist swelled up, but despite the injury, she decided to complete her work assignments.

She requested management to make the venue spacious and comfortable at Cannes 2024.

The source said:

“Two days after her fall, she did her costume fittings with her designers, and only requested that they ensure that the venue was spacious and comfortable so that she could avoid another injury. The brand was thankful and appreciative that she met her share of the deal despite being in pain.” 

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s separation rumours

Aishwarya Rai added Bachchan to her surname in 2007 and welcomed a baby girl in 2011. For the past many months, there have been constant speculations about the couple’s split.

“There is not an iota of truth to these rumours. We wonder why the lady (Kaur) has not issued a denial. Abhishek is keeping mum as there is already so much happening in his life at the moment. He has been advised to stay completely out of any controversy.”
