Shah Rukh Khan And Shreyas Talpade Bullied Then-Newcomer, Deepika On The Set Of ‘Om Shanti Om’
Shreyas Talpade recalled the fun moments with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone on ‘Om Shanti Om’, and shared how he and SRK bullied the actress.
Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan are one of the much-loved on-screen couples in Bollywood. Every time the duo comes on screen, they set the souls on fire. It was last year when Deepika and SRK’s movies, Jawan and Pathaan, left every fan screaming at the top of their lungs. Apart from that, Shah Rukh and Deepika were seen in movies like Om Shanti Om and Chennai Express. Well, the bond SRK and Deepika share is adorable, and in a recent interview, Shreyas Talpade recalled fun moments of the duo from the sets of Om Shanti Om.
Shreyas Talpade reveals how he and Shah Rukh used to bully Deepika Padukone on Om Shanti Om set
In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shreyas Talpade talked about the fun times on the sets of Om Shanti Om. The actor, who played the role of ‘Pappu’, revealed that it was one of his favourites when he shot for Om Shanti Om. Shreyas added that there was a sequence when Deepika’s character ‘Shanti’ came to meet SRK’s character ‘Om’, which was their favourite.
Talking more about it, Shreyas revealed that it was on 3rd or 2nd day when they were shooting the sequence, and they had a lot of fun, including bullying Deepika, who was new back then. Shreyas also called SRK witty and funny. Shreyas can be quoted as saying:
“This is one of my favourites, during the shoot of Om Shanti Om. It was the sequence where Shanti (Deepika Padukone) comes to meet Om (Shah Rukh Khan). I think it was 2nd or 3rd night when our shooting started. Aur tab hum shoot ke time bahut masti kar rahe the. Kyuki Deepika nayi thi, toh usko bhi thoda sa bully kar rahe the hum. And Shah Rukh was the way he is, very witty and funny.”
Deepika Padukone talked about feeling protected on Om Shanti Om’s set
In an old interview with Deadline, Deepika Padukone revealed that she remembers thinking while doing Om Shanti Om, what made someone spend so much money on such a movie with such a superstar and then casting her without an audition. The actress added that she felt protected, and she couldn’t ask for a better debut than Om Shanti Om, which changed her life overnight. The actress further stated that during the promotions of Om Shanti Om, she was propped up by others, and she felt grateful for this.
When Deepika Padukone revealed bullying Shah Rukh Khan
In one of the interviews with Mint, Deepika Padukone was asked about her working experience with Shah Rukh Khan in Chennai Express. To this, the actress revealed that this time, she had bullied SRK. The actress shared that while in her first film, she was a bit shy, but in the next film, working with SRK was comfortable for her, and it’s because the duo had worked earlier.
Deepika Padukone further shared that she would always have that special feeling for Shah Rukh Khan, as she had her debut film with him. The actress also gave an example of her bond with Ranbir Kapoor, which was casual, and they never had to think about how they would behave with one another.
