Abhishek Bachchan Reviewed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s ‘Fanney Khan’, It Left A Lump In His Throat

Who knew that a simple photo shoot for a film could lead to a lifetime of togetherness. Well, it is rightly said that the God of love, Cupid can strike you anywhere, anytime. Till date, this power couple has starred in eight films together, and with each film, their friendship grew stronger and eventually turned into love. Need we say more as to whom we are talking about? We are talking about the sweetheart couple, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

August 3, 2018, is a special day for Aishwarya, as her most-awaited film, Fanney Khan hit the silver screens. At a special screening hosted for the film fraternity, Aishwarya’s hubby Abhishek watched the film and congratulated the whole cast and crew. Junior B didn’t fail to mention that his Mrs continues to be his favourite.

Abhishek tweeted, “Just saw #FanneyKhan. What a beautiful film. A great message and worthy film. Congratulations to the entire team. Leaves a huge emotional lump in your throat. @AnilKapoor, Rajkumar, Pihu, @divyadutta25 are all so, so good. And the Mrs. continues to be my favourite! Best wishes.” So sweet, Abhishek!

In a throwback interview, when Abhishek was asked how do they manage the tag of an ‘it couple’, he retorted, “You don’t let these things matter. You don’t go home at night and say ‘We are the IT couple’ or what we are going to do to maintain this. I think people spend too much time bothering about these things. Two of us have always been real about these things. We have no false illusions of grandeur nor we are aspiring to be that. We aspire to be good human beings, loving children and good professionals at what we do. These epitaphs are not going to stay.”

Junior B further replied, “Today, you are number one and tomorrow, you are not going to be. I have always been like that. I am Amitabh Bachchan’s son. I mean I could be complete wreck and say ‘Oh my God, how am I going to handle the pressure or I could have been the most arrogant person earth’. I don’t think I am either in all its modesty. I feel people are going to watch my films not because I am the part of the ‘it’ couple. It’s terribly sweet Oprah to say all this and I really respect her.”

Further revealing the real reason for marrying Aishwarya, Abhishek stated, “That’s not the basis of my relationship with Aishwarya. It’s not about – you’re hot and let’s get married. It’s not that. I married her for the human being that she is, not because she is the most successful actor we have or she is the international face of the Indian cinema because she is one of the most beautiful women. No, it’s not. At the end of the day, when you come back home from a hard day at work, you go to bed and you have to face certain realities about how the person is like. These faces that we have come off at night without makeup. I married her for that person.”

 

Another happy news for Abhishek and Aishwarya fans, the couple is all set to reunite after 8 years for a film named, Gulab Jamun.

Confirming the news to Mid-Day, Aishwarya stated, “AB [Abhishek] and I have agreed to do Gulab Jamun. I told AB that he needs to decide what he wants to do after Manmarziyan. We had agreed on the idea then. However, it was around the same time that AB decided to take time-out. After the hiatus, he returned with Manmarziyan, which coincidentally is directed by Anurag Kashyap. That’s when the chatter around Gulab Jamun began again, and we finally came on board. It is a beautiful script, and we fit the narrative perfectly.”
