A 15-year-old fan of the star India batter Virat Kohli has been going viral on social media as the craze to watch his favourite star bat made him travel 58 km on cycle.

The young boy travelled from Unnao to Kanpur to witness his star in the ongoing second Test match between India and Bangladesh at Green Park.

In the viral video, the young boy revealed his name to be Kartikey and mentioned how he began his journey at 4:00 am in the morning under dark and reached the stadium at 11:00 am on Friday, September 27.

Upon being asked whether his parents stopped him from coming, Kartikeya, a class 10th student, revealed that he allowed him to travel on his own.

However, Kartikeya’s wish of watching Kohli bat couldn’t be fulfilled on Day 1 as India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first under overcast conditions.

The Indian team didn’t make any changes to their playing XI as local boy Kuldeep Yadav failed to find a place in the team.

India scalped three wickets on Day 1

Fast bowler Akash Deep got the first strike for India as he made Zakir Hasan edge the ball to Yashavi Jaiswal at gully for a 24-ball duck.

The youngster further trapped Mominul Haque in front of the stumps to give the second blow to Bangladesh on the score of 29.

The speedster asked captain Rohit to immediately go for a DRS after the on field umpire denied his appeal and the ball tracking turned the decision in India’s favour.

After the two early blows, Bangladesh’s innings was stabilized by captain Najmul Hossain Shanto (31) and Mominul Haque who added 51 runs for the third wicket.

However, their stand was brought to an end by Ravichandran Ashwin who dismissed Shanto lbw in the second session.

A total of 35 overs were possible on Day 1 as incessant rain washed out the second and third sessions. Bangladesh finished Day 1 on 107/3 with Mominul Haque (40*) and Mushfiqur Rahim (6*) at the crease.
