One of the most successful sister acts in Hindi cinema is the Karisma Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor Khan duo who managed to be the top draws in their films in almost four decades now.

The Kapoor family is known for their flair for the excesses, and the strong bonds between them despite the highs and lows of cinema.

Recently, Karisma and Kareena were part of Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, hosted by Kapil Sharma, where they discussed the Kapoor legacy, the bond between them, and of course, Saif Ali Khan, who has starred in films opposite both the sisters over the course of his career.

Talking about the first time Kareena opened up about her relationship with Saif, Karisma revealed that it happened when she was in London, and it almost shook the ground she was standing on.

“Kareena actually asked me to sit down somewhere before she could say what she wanted to say. I didn’t understand the need, but I did find a sofa in the London store where I was shopping. She went like, ‘The thing is that, I’m in love with Saif. We are together. We are dating,’ and I wanted to hold on more tightly to the sofa,” said Karisma heaving a sigh of incredulity about what happened between her sister and her co-star.

“It took me a second to process all of this. Saif was my buddy, and my co-star, right?” asked Karisma as the audience were in peals of laughter. Soon enough, Kapil asked Kareena if it was Saif who confessed his love to her first, or did she take the first step. “Knowing me, I would have confessed first. It was important that I told him directly what I felt about us. It was important,” said Kareena, giving an insight into her thought process by delivering a punchline with her trademark pizaazz. “Everyone knows I’m my own favourite. So before telling anyone else, I had to tell him first.”

Karisma Kapoor, who was recently seen in the Netflix show Murder Mubarak, has also been judging the reality show India’s Best Dancer.

On the other hand, Kareena Kapoor, who delivered a stellar performance in The Buckingham Murders, is currently awaiting the release of Rohit Shetty’s Singham Returns, which also stars Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor.
