Varun Dhawan recently shared his hilarious reaction to Salman Khan’s cameo in the upcoming film Baby John and also opened up about the thrilling stunts he performed in the film. He also spoke about the process of incorporating cameos in films, which has become a popular trend in recent years.
In a recent interview, Varun Dhawan discussed his collaboration with Salman Khan, calling it a unique experience.
He praised Salman, referring to him as a person with a “large heart” and mentioned that all of Salman’s fans would be pleased with his presence in the film. Varun humorously shared that Salman’s compliment to him was simply, “Baby John, get baby.” While he wasn’t sure if it was a compliment, Varun appreciated the gesture and acknowledged it with a smile.
When asked about the stunts in Baby John, Varun revealed that the action scenes were some of the most challenging he has ever done. He mentioned that these stunts were different from the usual ones he has performed in the past, combining both international and Indian stunt techniques.
He recalled a particularly difficult experience while shooting a rain fight in Kerala, where he was warned by director Atlee about the dangerous stunts. Atlee told Varun that if he was uncomfortable with any stunt, he could skip it.
However, Varun still ended up performing some daring stunts, including being hung upside down for six hours and riding a horse at 5 AM. Despite the intense physical demands, Varun’s enthusiasm and dedication to the action scenes were evident, and he joked that only an actor like him could handle such extreme challenges.
The conversation then shifted to the topic of cameos in films, which have become quite common in the industry. Varun was asked if filmmakers consciously include cameos in their movies for added appeal.
Atlee, the director, explained that cameos are often included for two main reasons: to enhance the film’s entertainment value and because the script sometimes calls for a special appearance.
He pointed out that in Baby John, the cameo was essential both for adding an extra layer to the film and because the script required someone who could play the role of a “boss” with great impact. This led to the inclusion of Salman Khan, who, according to Atlee, was the perfect fit for the role.
Atlee revealed that he had approached Murad Sir with the idea of Salman Khan making a cameo, and it was quickly greenlit. He described Salman’s role as being larger-than-life, someone who would command the screen and bring significant star power to the film. Atlee’s comments reflect the growing trend of big-name cameos in Bollywood, which add an element of surprise and excitement for the audience.
Varun’s excitement about working with Salman and the challenges of performing intense stunts in Baby John have generated a lot of buzz among fans. The combination of thrilling action, a star-studded cameo, and a gripping script has fans eagerly awaiting the release of the film.
With Salman Khan’s involvement, Baby John promises to be an action-packed, star-studded entertainer that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
