Sangeeta Bijlani Hints at Salman Khan Restricting Her Fashion Choices

Former actress and model Sangeeta Bijlani, who once shared a long-term relationship with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, recently made headlines with her candid remarks during a guest appearance on a singing reality show. While she refrained from directly naming anyone, her comments strongly hinted at past restrictions imposed by a former partner, believed by many to be Salman.

During the special episode, Sangeeta opened up about a period in her life when she felt constrained in her sartorial choices. Reflecting on her younger days, she revealed that she was not allowed to wear short dresses or outfits with plunging necklines.

While recounting her experience, she mimicked the speaking style of a certain Bollywood actor, which led fans to speculate that she was referring to Salman Khan.

When asked by a contestant if there was anything she would like to change about her career, Sangeeta said, “I was very restricted. I could not wear this kind of dress. Initially, I did, but then I was not allowed to, so I became shy.” However, she added with a smile, “I am not afraid now. I was reserved then.”

Vishal Dadlani, one of the show’s judges, further fueled the speculation by playfully imitating Salman Khan and urging Sangeeta to disclose the actor’s name. Despite the lighthearted atmosphere, Sangeeta chose not to reveal any names, diplomatically brushing aside the request.

Sangeeta and Salman were in a relationship for nearly a decade during the early stages of their careers. The two reportedly met during the filming of a TV commercial and quickly developed a strong bond. Their relationship was one of the longest in Salman’s life, and the couple had even been engaged at one point, with wedding invitations allegedly printed. However, the engagement was called off, and the two went their separate ways.

Despite parting ways romantically, Sangeeta and Salman have maintained an amicable relationship over the years. Sangeeta later married cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin, while Salman has remained famously single.
