Aishwarya Rai Ignored Rushad Rana While Filming ‘Mohabbatein’, He Says ‘She Chose To Look Right…’

Rushad Rana got candid about what it was like working with stars in ‘Mohabbatein’, ‘Veer Zara’, and other films. He also revealed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan acted like he didn’t exist on set.

Rushad Rana is a name well-known to lovers of Hindi daily soaps. However, his work in films is not to be missed either, as he has appeared in several popular ones like Veer Zara, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, and Mohabbatein. Recently, Rushad opened up about his time on the sets of these films. And he also got candid about what it was like working with the stars featured in them.

Rushad Rana reveals he was ignored by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Preity Zinta on set

In a candid interview with Siddharth Kannan, Rushad revealed that leading ladies, Aishwarya and Preity, completely ignored his existence on set. The actor spoke about his work equation with the two divas and said it wasn’t pleasant. Talking about his interaction with Aishwarya and Preity, he told Siddharth:

“I didn’t have any interaction with Aishwarya. She chose to look right through us. Preity Zinta did the same during Veer Zaara.”

Rushad further emphasized that there was nothing that could be done if someone chose to ignore you. According to Rushad, he prefers just to say ‘theek hai’ and move on in such situations. In his words:

“What can you do? You can’t exactly say Hi to those who choose to ignore you.”

Rushad Rana says Shah Rukh Khan remembered him after eight years and Rani’s mom is his fan

On the contrary, Rushad had nothing but praises for Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherji. According to Rushad, when he met Bollywood’s Badshah on the sets of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, the latter instantly recalled that they had worked together in Mohabbatein. Rushad humbly said that this came as a massive shock to him because eight years had passed since Mohobbatein’s release.

Rushad spoke about another huge shock he received when Rani Mukherji confessed that her mother was a huge fan of his work. According to Rushad, Rani had told him that her mother would watch his show, Kehta Hai Dil, regularly, and she would join in sometimes, too. He told Siddharth:

“She told me her mom is a big fan of my work. At that time, I was doing a show called Kehta Hai Dil, and Rani’s mom used to watch it regularly, with Rani often joining her. I remember that interaction vividly, and throughout the shoot, she was very warm.”

Rushad revealed that he couldn’t say much about his other Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi co-star, Anushka Sharma. According to him, since his role in the movie was relatively small, he didn’t have any scenes to shoot with the beauty, which is why they never got a chance to interact.

On the work front, Rushad Rana was last seen in Ulajh, starring Janhvi Kapoor in the lead. However, the film failed to impress at the box office. He also made an appearance in the popular daytime show, Anupamaa.
